Project: The Display Case
The top of the glass-fronted cabinet is covered in a thick black dust, almost soot, except for three rectangular patches, arrayed in an equilateral triangle, about eight inches on a side. In the center of one of these patches there are a few strands of felted wool adhered in a near-circular spot.
Some sort of tripod sat there, undisturbed, for years perhaps. It must have been fairly heavy.
The glass of the display case is not as filthy as the top; housekeeping had never been a strong suit for Corin, and she might never have thought that dust would settle on top of the cabinet.
