There is a single gold-colored aluminum mardi gras doubloon in the case. It bears the inscription: “NEW ORLEANS MARDI GRAS,” over an image of a man in ancient Egyptian garb with the head of an ibis. Below the image, the coin reads “Krewe of Thoth.” When you turn the coin over, the stamped image is of a man stting in a recliner, legs propped on an ottoman, surrounded by images of faraway places. On this side of the coin, it reads “IF ONLY I COULD” across the top, and “19-Mardi Gras in New Orleans-84” along the bottom.
